CAIRO – 11 July 2017: Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp spoke to Liverpool’s website Tuesday about Egyptian player Mohamed Salah.

Klopp revealed to the website the reasons behind Mohamed Salah’s absence from the team’s first match.

“Salah participates in training; however, he will not be able to play with us in tomorrow’s match due to the working permit and we have to respect that,” Klopp said.

Klopp added, “we still are trying to receive his working permit or the visa. I don’t really know what he needs to play. We could send him to Paris to get the papers done. We hope that he plays for the team soon.”

Mohamed Salah signed a five-year contract with Liverpool for $ 44.5 million, the most expensive transfer ever in the history of the English club.
