Omar Haggag – Egypt Today
CAIRO – 10 July 2017: Al -Ahly SC club announced the signing of Egyptian Handball player Omar Haggag on July 10.
The former Al-Shaab SC (UAE) player agreed to a two year deal with Al-Ahly SC.
Al-Ahly is looking to strengthen their squad for next season in order to compete in the Egyptian League and African Handball Champions League. In addition to signing former Al-Sadd (Qatari side) Mahmoud Zaki, Al-Ahly also managed to extend the contract of Omar el-Kaluobi for two extra years.
Even though looking to strengthen their squad with new players, Al-Ahly officials released their goalkeeper Mohamed Ali and Ahmed Kabouria.
In light of the retirement of Al-Ahly captain Karim al-Saeed, Al-Ahly will also be looking to sign players that can be leaders.
