File- Omar El Said celebrates his goal
CAIRO-31 October 2021: Ahmed Sayed Zizo and Omar El Said scored to help Zamalek beat El Gaish 2-0 on Sunday in the Egyptian Premier League.
The White Knights are now with 6 points after two matches and they are now ready for the Cairo derby against Al Ahly on Friday.
Inside 15 minutes, Zamalek were awarded a penalty after the referee checked VAR as Omar El Said was tackled inside the box. Zizo stepped up to convert the penalty, giving his team an early lead.
In the second half, the White Knights doubled their lead by Omar El Said who met Zizo’s cross with a beautiful header.
El Gaish, the Egyptian Super Cup champions, are not enjoying the start they had hoped for with two defeats in the opening two weeks of the league.
El Gaish are not the only team with no points after two matches as new promoted club, Farco, suffered their second defeat of the season after losing 1-0 to Pyramids courtesy of Abdullah El Said’s goal.
Zamalek and Pyramids are sharing the top of the table with 6 points, waiting for the remaining matches of the week.
