Al Ahly vs National Bank SC: Sherif benched again as Tau starts

CAIRO-31 October 2021: Pitso Mosimane made one change to his team that started the opening game of the season against Ismaily and achieved a 4-0 win.

Aliou Dieng, who received a red card in the second half against Ismaily, is replaced by Mohamed Hany, who will play as a right back while Akram Tawfil will move to the midfield.

Mohamed Sherif, the top scorer of the Egyptian league last season, is benched for the second game in a row after Percy Tau’s success as a false 9 last game, having scored a brace in his debut.

Al Ahly’s starting line-up for the game consists of: Ali Lotfy, Ayman Ashraf, Badr Benoun, Ali Maaloul, Mohamed Hany, Hamdy Fathy, Amr El Soulia, Akram Tawfik, Luis Miquissone, Mohamed Magdy Afsha and Percy Tau.

On the other hand, National Bank SC aims to maintain their successful run against the Red Devils as they managed to avoid defeats in two matches against Al Ahly last season, which saw the team’s first appearance in the league.

The team, led by Khaled Galal, had a great start to the season with a 3-0 win over El Gaish.
