CAIRO-30 October 2021: Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion, losing two points despite leading the game with two goals after 25 minutes.

Mohamed Salah, the team’s star, failed to visit the net for the first time since 28 August as he scored goals in ten straight matches.

Salah was behind Liverpool’s opening goal in the game, giving a beautiful pass to Jordan Henderson, who found the target after four minutes from the start.

Sadio Mane doubled the score for the Reds with a beautiful header from inside the box.

The visitors did not surrender despite the Reds’ lead and they fought back to pull one of the most amazing comebacks of the season.

Enock Mwepu narrowed the gap in the score before half-time when he whipped an angled effort that Alisson failed to stop, to revive Brighton’s hopes in the match.

In the second half, Salah scored in the opening minutes but his goal was ruled out for offside.

Leandro Trossard was Brighton’s hero in the game as he scored the equalizer for his team in the 65th minute.

The minutes went by with the home team players failing to regain control over the game, dropping two points at home.
