Al Ahly aim to avoid unpleasant surprises against USGN

CAIRO-23 October 2021: The Red Devils host USGN of Niger on Saturday night in the second leg of the CAF Champions League first round. 

 

Al Ahly players returned from Niger with a 1-1 draw in the first leg last week and they hope for a victory tonight to secure a spot in the competition's group stage. 

 

Al Ahly are the favourites to win the tie as they are the defending champions for the last two seasons but they need to stay alert as the visitors launched many dangerous attacks in the second half of the first leg. 

 

Mohamed Magdy Afsha and Hussein El Shahat returned to the team and they are expected to start tonight after missing the first game. 

 

Mosimane's side struggled last season in the domestic competitions but when it comes to African matches they are always the favourites. 

 

The game starts at 6:00 PM.
