Alba, Messi is the best in the history of football

CAIRO - 10 July 2017: After playing alongside each other for five seasons, Jordi Alba Ramos, Barcelona defender, talked about his good feelings towards Lionel Messi contract renewal with Barcelona last week.

"Messi signing is very important, he is the best player in the world and in history," Ramos told Spanish daily Marca.

Messi, 30-years-old, has extended his contract with Barcelona until 2021, thus continuing his journey with Barcelona.

The Spanish defender expressed hopes for Barcelona’s new season, after last season’s big disappointment, "We will be working to win all possible titles next season," as reported by Marca.

Alba, born in Barcelona, started playing football within the Barcelona academy until 2005, when he took the opportunity to play with clubs like Cornella and Valencia. The 28-year-old would move back to his home team Barcelona in 2012.

Since joining Barcelona in 2012 from Valencia, Alba won three Spanish League titles, three Spanish Cup titles and the 2015 UEFA Champions League title.
