Al Ahly announce the return of Hamdy and Abdelkader

CAIRO-4 September 2021: Al Ahly announced on Saturday that the team players Ammar Hamdy and Ahmed Abdelkader, who spent the last season on loan, will be part of the team’s squad next season.

Abdelkader shined last season with Smouha and he was one of the best players in the league, earning a place in Al Ahly’s list for the upcoming season.

Abdelkader scored nine goals and set up another five goals to prove himself in his first season in the Egyptian Premier League.

While, Ammar Hamdy has been consistent during his loan spells in the league with El Gaish and Al Ittihad of Alexandria.

Ammar was one of the Olympic team’s squad that participated in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo last summer and he scored a goal in Egypt’s 2-0 win over Australia in the group stage.

“Amir Tawfik, Al Ahly's Director of Marketing and Transfers, stated that the duo are back to the team after the amazing performance they showed last season.” Al Ahly statement said.
