Jordi Mboula: a star in the making

CAIRO – 8 July 2017: An 18 year old Spanish winger named Jordi Mboula will mesmerize the world. Mboula is a talented player that will play for AS Monaco for the next two seasons.

He transferred to Monaco this summer on a five year deal. Monaco was able to activate his three million Euro release clause. Barcelona is Mboula’s former team, but they do not have a buy back clause.

Monaco signed Mboula cheaply in comparison to his age, and will look to sell him in the next couple of years for an exorbitant price.

Mboula started his career with Barcelona and helped advance the youth team to the semi-finals before losing to Red Bull Salzburg 2-1. Mboula managed to score eight goals in nine games in the UEFA Youth League for Barcelona.

His outstanding performances netted him a promotion to Barca’s B team where he played three matches. Barca sent him to play with the Barca B team for the next season; however Mboula favored playing in the top level with AS Monaco’s first team.

Mboula is best known for his talents that enable him to pass many left backs. He is also skilled with great speed and agility that allows him to surpass the center backs. Another one of his talents is that he plays direct football. That means that he is very effective on the pitch and is aggressive on the goal.
