Al Ahly to wear home kit in the CAF Champions League final

Cairo-16 July 2021: Al Ahly will wear their home kit in the CAF Champions League final on Saturday against South Africa's Kaizer Chiefs. 

 

"Al Ahly players will wear a red shirt, white shorts, and red socks; whereas, our goalkeeper will wear an all-light blue kit." Al Ahly's official website announced on Friday. 

 

Al Ahly participated in the CAF Champions League final on a record 13 previous occasions, having secured the title on nine occasions and they are chasing the 10th title in the club's history.

 

The reigning champions are set to hold their pre-match training session on Friday night to conclude their preparations for Saturday's clash.

 

The Red Devils hope to achieve the prestigious title for the second straight season for the third time in their history after winning the title twice in a row in (2005-2006) and (2012-2013). 

 

The Egyptian giants will meet Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa for the first time in the CAF Champions League competition and the second time overall as the two teams met in 2002 in the CAF Super Cup, which ended with a 4-1 win for the Egyptians.
