CAIRO-25 June 2021: Zamalek announced on Thursday that the club has reached an agreement with the club winger Ahmed Sayed Zizo over a contract extension for a further two seasons.
The winger is now committed to Zamalek till the summer of 2024, putting an end to all the rumours that linked him with a move away from the club.
"I am delighted that I will continue my journey with Zamalek. I will stay at the club for the next three seasons." Zizo said after signing his new contract.
Zizo played 101 matches in Zamalek's jersey, having scored 15 goals. This season, he scored five goals, setting up another five, which helped Zamalek cement their position atop of the Egyptian League table.
The winger added "I was under pressure in the past period with all the rumours about my future. For sure it had affected my performance on the pitch."
Zizo is the second player to extend his contract with the club within a week as Zamalek's board managed to extend the contract of Zamalek's defender Mahmoud El Wensh until 2025.
Zizo continued "We have many important games in the league and the cup. We will fight to win both titles this season."
