NBD Egypt sponsors FC Barcelona

AIRO – 7 July 2017: Emirates National Bank of Dubai (NBD) Egypt has reached an agreement on Thursday to become a sponsor for Spanish giant Barcelona until 2020, according to the official Barcelona website, becoming the first Arab sponsor for Barcelona after ending their contract with the club’s former sponsor Qatar Airways.

“We are very pleased that such a prestigious bank in the region as Emirates NBD has thought of forming an association with FC Barcelona. This three-year partnership will reaffirm the club’s growth in emerging markets and we are sure that Barça’s fan base in Egypt will continue to grow thanks to our association with the bank,” the FC Barcelona director stated on Barcelona’s official website after signing the contract.

Fuad Mohamed, chief operating officer of Emirates NBD Egypt, said, “We are very pleased to have signed this sponsorship agreement with one of the world’s leading football teams.”

This step will help Barcelona to increase its club fan base in Egypt.
