Carteron praises his players after win over El Gaish

CAIRO-21 May 2021: Zamalek head coach Patrice Carteron revealed that he is proud of his team following their 2-1 victory over El Gaish on Thursday night in the Egyptian Premier League. 

 

"I am proud of my players. We achieved the three points against a tough team. El Geish have been incredible in the last five games in the Egyptian League. It was not our best game but all the players fought till the end to win the match." Carteron said after the game.  

 

Zamalek came from 1-0 behind at half-time to win the game in the second half thanks to two goals from Seifeddine Jaziri and Osama Faisal. 

 

The French head coach added "Our strategy is to prepare all the players to be ready to deliver when we need them. Tonight we saw great performance from Seifeddine Jaziri and Osama Faisal." 

 

Zamalek extended their lead atop of the table to 10 points, as they are 51 points, 10 points ahead of the second-placed Al Ahly, who played four games fewer. 

 

Zamalek hope to maintain their amazing run in the league when they face El Masry on Monday in Alexandria.
