Egypt faces Argentina in round 16

CAIRO – 5 July 2017: Egypt lost their last group stage match against Germany 66-40 on Tuesday to end the group stage in third place. Egypt will play against the second of Group A, Argentina, on Wednesday.

Argentina succeeded to overcome the loss in the opening match against France and won the other two matches against South Korea and New Zealand.

Egyptian players have to keep Argentina’s best players, Santiago Vaulet, Argentina Captain, and Lautaro Lopez, under control to be able to win the match and reach the quarterfinals.

Round 16 will witness many tough clashes; Germany vs New Zeeland, Italy vs Japan, Lithuania vs South Korea, France vs Puerto Rico, Spain vs Iran, The U.S. vs Mali and Canada vs Angola.

All round 16 matches will be played on Wednesday at Cairo Stadium Indoor halls one and two.
Egypt is host to the U 19 Basketball World Cup until July 9 for the first time in history.
