CAIRO - 3 July 2017: Egyptian Ministry of Environment announced on Monday several safety regulations to be taken while climbing mountains.
The Ministry also mentioned the appropriate tools to be used while mountain climbing including a sports backpack, a first aid pack, sports jacket, a strong sports shoes, slipping pad, sports gloves, a helmet with a flash light, a small camera, ropes, hammer, and nails.
Mountain climbers are recommended by the Ministry to follow certain regulation while climbing for their own safety including an approved statement for climbing singed from a safari office of an administration from a prostate and announcing the date of leaving the mountain.
Other regulations feature accompanying a tour guide who is familiar with the area and not climb without him/her to follow their lead. It is also recommended to climb with a group, be aware of the climate and risks, taking enough water, dry food and flash light, and avoiding carrying hunting tools.
Climbers are also recommended to climb at the highest point of a mountain during a storm, avoid any carvings and drawing on mountains, being knowledgeable of using climbing tools and gaining climbing experiences. All climbers are subject to penalties in case of commencing any violations in nature reserves according to law 109 about natural reserves that was released in 1983.
