CAIRO - 28 February 2020: As Egypt continue on receiving the eight-plan deal of Airbus A320neo, the Fourth plan of its kind has landed, Thursday in Cairo international Airport coming from Airbus Factory, in Toulouse, France.
Captain Ahmed Adel Chairman of EgyptAir said in a statement commenting on receiving the fourth plan that it comes within the company's plane for developing the company's fleet of aircrafts.
He added that Airbus A320neo provides high levels of comfort including lighting, entertainment technology, internet connection and Live TV feature that allows watching news and sports channels.
Last week, Egypt received the third Airbus A320neo. and the first one arrived in Egypt last month, after publishing a photo for it by Jetphotos website.
Bringing all the standards of comfort and incorporating new engine choices, aerodynamic improvements, and the latest cabin features, the A320neo Family will offer up to 20 percent savings in fuel burn per seat by 2020, two tons of additional payload, 500 nautical miles of more range, lower operating costs, along with a nearly 50 percent reduction in engine noise and NOx emissions 50 percent below the current industry standard.
It is configured with 142 seats in two classes including 16 seats in the business-class cabin.
In December 2019, EgyptAir announced it will increase the number of flights to several destinations in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and the Middle East during the summer of 2020." The move comes within the framework of the company's efforts to enhance its services," said Chairman of EgyptAir Airlines Ashraf el-Kholy in a statement.
The flights of the flagship carrier to Washington are scheduled to increase from three to four flights per week, while the number of flights to Toronto will be seven instead of six, according to MENA. Additionally, the number of flights heading to Europe will go up from 14 to 21 flights weekly.
