The 41st International Tourism Fair in Belgrade opened – Diplomacy&Commerce
CAIRO - 22 December 2019: Egypt's Ambassador to Belgrade Amrel-Gweli met on Saturday with Secretary of State for Tourism at the Serbian Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Communications Miroslav Konjevic to discuss Egypt's participation in the 42nd session of Belgrade International Tourism Fair.
Egypt will be participating as a partner country and a guest of honor in Belgrade International Tourism Fair, which is the largest tourism exhibition in southeastern Europe.The fair will be held from February 20 to 23, 2020.
Gweli told Egypt Today that the meeting discussed ways to boost tourism inEgypt, which has become one of the most preferred tourist destinations for Serbs.
He added that the meeting tackled ways to expand the activities to be held on the sidelines of participation in the exhibition to include meetings withsenior officials to activate the memorandum of cooperation in the field of tourism signed between the two countries in 2010.
The meeting also shed light on bilateral cooperation in specialized sectors such as river tourism and floating hotels, and the importance of exploring ways to develop cooperation in the field of civil aviation
Konjevic expressed hope that Serbia would become a destination for Egyptians tourists, where the importance of facilitating procedures of Serbia's entry visawas discussed, according to Gweli.
