Avon launches Egypt campaign for breast cancer awareness in October

CAIRO - 14 November 2019: Avon, a global leader in beauty, innovation and empowering women, is helping raise awareness of breast cancer as the most prevalent form of cancer among Egyptian women. Throughout the month of October, Avon Egypt hosted a series of initiatives as part of the Breast Cancer Promise 2019 campaign to educate women about ways they can reduce the risk of breast cancer, self-care tips for breast cancer patients or survivors, and help the fight against breast cancer by purchasing an Avon Breast Cancer Crusade Pin (EGP 15) from which all proceeds are donated to breast cancer research. In addition, Avon Egypt is collaborating with Baheya Hospital as well as HERS Gym, and renowned singer Noha Fekry who threw a special performance at Baheya Hospital as part of the Breast Cancer Promise 2019 campaign.

Avon is at the forefront of the fight against breast cancer and has a long-standing commitment to support women. Around the world, Avon’s independent sales representatives raise funds for breast cancer programs and are a collective army in the fight against breast cancer, offering information and raising awareness around the world.

The collaboration with Baheya Hospital includes makeover sessions for breast cancer patients with professional makeup artists to help boost patients’ spirits, followed by a party to celebrate Baheya’s warriors who were born in October and a grand finale concert by singer Noha Fekry.

Avon Egypt is also partnering with HERS Gym as part of the campaign. Avon hosted an event at New Cairo branch. The event featured free samples from Avon In addition, Avon Sales Representatives received a free one-day invitation to HERS Gym.

The Breast Cancer Promise 2019 campaign also included digital support for the cause to make it easy for everyone to support breast cancer research by purchasing the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade Pin for just EGP 15 with any Avon order made through the representatives or the customer’s channels. Avon philanthropy has donated more than $800 million through 2016 to breast cancer programs in over 50 countries for research and advancing access to care, regardless of a person’s ability to pay. All proceeds from Avon Breast Cancer Pin selling will be donated to Baheya Hospital.
