CAIRO – 15 October 2019: Cairo will host its first honey festival this week to raise awareness of the benefits of honey as a healthier substitute for saturated sugar excessively consumed by Egyptians.
Scheduled to take place from Oct. 16 to 18, the Egyptian Honey Festival invites citizens to attend and taste different types of honey and other bee products.
The
addresses all family members and people of different ages, as it includes a fair for honey producers, and presents to the visitors the technology of producing and packaging honey.

As part of the event’s program, chefs will offer recipes using honey, and participants can take part in competitions with prizes offered by exhibitors.
The event is free of charge, and will take place at Merryland garden in Heliopolis; visitors will only need to pay the garden entry fees of L.E. 20 ($1.23).
