Milky Way as pictured from Qatameya - Astrotrips
CAIRO – 12 June 2017: You have a chance to enjoy iftar and sohour meals in the desert of Wadi el-Hitan, while observing the Milky Way galaxy, 150km outside Cairo on Friday.
"Every year, the earth travels on its journey around the sun in an orbit that takes 365 days. We at Astrotrips wait every year for the summer and the Earth's trip around the sun to establish professional stargazing and astrophotography trips to catch and photograph the Milky Way galaxy," founder of Astrotrips Amr Abd el-Wahab, former researcher at the Nile University, said in the
Facebook page.
The event will be held at Wadi el-Hitan observation camp on June 16 at LE 400 per person. Basic sleeping facilities and bathrooms are available at the camp.
Observing and shooting the Milky Way in the Egyptian desert is breathtaking, especially in Fayoum, where Wadi el-Hitan is located, whose dry, clear weather makes stargazing crystal clear.
