S.Sinai governor mulls with Spanish consul activating tourism in Sharm el Sheikh

EL TOR, Egypt, May 29 (MENA) - South Sinai Governor Khaled Fouda discussed on Wednesday with the Spanish consul in Cairo means of activating Spanish tourism to the Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh.

The Spanish delegation is set to visit the South Sinai towns of Dahab, Nuweiba, Taba and Saint Catherine to get acquainted with the conditions in the governorate in preparation for receiving Spanish tourists, said a statement released by the governorate.

During the meeting, Fouda reviewed work progress achieved in South Sinai, particularly the major projects implemented in Sharm el Sheikh and Saint Catherine, including the project of duplicating Martyr Ahmed Hamdy Tunnel to Sharm El Sheikh in a way that will cut the distance from Cairo to the Red Sea city to only four hours.

Meanwhile, the Spanish consul thanked Fouda for his efforts in Sharm el Sheikh, expressing his pleasure over holding such fruitful meeting with the governor.
