CAIRO – 24 February 2019: Kuwait's Directorate General for Civil Aviation announced Friday that Egypt is among the top favorite destinations for Kuwaitis to spend their holidays.
General for Aviation Safety and Air Transport Affairs Engineer Emad Al-Jlewi said during press remarks that around 218 thousand Kuwaitis will spend their national holidays outside Kuwait from Feb. 21 to March. 2, pointing out that top destinations are Cairo, Dubai, London, and Turkey.
He also added that the Directorate General for Civil Aviation has laid a plan to regulate the departure and arrival of passengers, in coordination with the Kuwait International Airport.
On Jan. 25, a new memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Egypt and Kuwait on the regulation of air services between the two countries.
The MoU was signed by Vice President of the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority Khaled Abdul Moneim and the Civil Aviation Administration of Kuwait.
Kuwait’s Director General of Civil Aviation, Yousuf Al-Fawzan, said in a press statement that the memorandum comes in the context of modernizing the bilateral operational arrangements related to air transportation regulation between the two countries.
It was agreed to grant designated airlines from both countries the right to increase the operational capacity and to use other services of operational codes, Al-Fozan said.
