CAIRO - 31 December 2018: Egypt’s Sharm El-Luli beach has been ranked on top of TripAdvisor’s list of 10 best beaches in the Middle East in 2018.
Sharm El Luli beach, located in Wadi El Gamal National Park at the Red Sea resort of Marsa Alam, is distinguished by crystal-clear water, white sand and absence of rocks.
In 2017, the beach ranked the third on the same list and the eighth in 2016.

El-Luli was one of the best 25 beaches in the world in 2018, ranked the 22nd position, according to TripAdvisor website, the world’s largest travel site.
Photos of the touristic destination on the website were visited by more than 1,590 viewers, who expressed their admiration for the place; “an excellent picture postcard location; excellent snorkeling with 2 reefs to swim; good range of fish,” Chris S from Ashford town in the county of Kent, England wrote on Friday.
“Marsa Alalam city is distinguished by spotless beaches and beautiful nature of white flat sand that overlooks beautiful series of mountains,” said Ashraf Abadi, head of a diving center at the city.

“The park and its beaches are favorable tourist destinations for Italians and Germans,” said Ahmed Ghalab, head of Red Sea Natural Reserves.
He added that the Natural Reserves Administration seeks to announce Wadi El Gamal National Park a world heritage reserve, as it is enriched with biodiversity and includes a Roman-era temple.
TripAdvisor is accessed by around 390 million visitors in 49 markets worldwide every month, according to the website’s data.
