In Pics: 10 American bloggers promote tourism in Egypt

CAIRO - 19 November 2018: The Ministry of Tourism organized a tour for 10 American bloggers to promote Egypt as a destination for U.S. tourists. They visited the Pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), Al Moez Street, the Karnak Temple Complex, the Temple of Khonsu, and Gouna resort town.

The bloggers were invited in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Egypt as their visit took place on Nov.11 - 17. The bloggers’ instagram posts had the hashtag #egyptunveiled.

What makes the Karnak Temple so unique is the time span in which it was built - over 2,000 years, with each new Pharaoh adding something to it. The world is an incredible place, and walking amongst ruins over 4,000 years old is really a great reminder that our time here is so small. . There they are, standing tall, one can only wonder, what were they thinking? A tomb for one single person, mummified forever, how many generations has laid eyes on them or how many lives it took to build. One thing for sure is...
