MECSC grants CFCM silver award for hosting World Cup Trophy Tour at RECon MENA 2018
The Middle East Council for Shopping Centers (MECSC 2018), the largest regional organization representing the Retail Industry in the Middle East & North Africa, granted Cairo Festival City Mall the Silver Award in the category of Net Operating Income Enhancement (NOI).
This award comes as celebration of the Mall’s execution of the exceptional event for the World Trophy Tour campaign by Coca Cola, which included a number or entertaining sports activities in celebration of Egypt’s participation in the World Cup.
“It is a great honor for Cairo Festival City Mall to receive the valuable NOI award for hosting a huge event showing our advance in marketing strategies. It positions us as the ultimate “Place to Be” in Egypt. It also shows the growing progress of the mall to being the top favorite destination in East Cairo and the biggest cosmopolitan entertainment hub in Egypt”, stated Sam Hosn, Group Asset Director from CFCM.
“Despite the sweeping success of the World Cup Trophy Tour campaign, CFCM faced many challenges to make the biggest football event come out as huge as it did.
Securing the World Cup was a very challenging task as the security precautions were extremely tight and audited by the International FIFA team. However, CFCM has managed to provide the necessary means to make the event safe, secure and enjoyable for the attendees who have been anticipating this huge football event for 28 years.

The Middle East Council for Shopping Centers (MECSC) is the largest regional organization that represents the voice of retail industry in the Middle East, North Africa region. This year, it hosted RECon MENA 2018, the biggest conferences that gathered all regional and global retailers, shopping center owners, management, and service providers to explore the potentials of the retail industry in the region.
