CAIRO - 21 October 2018: Chinese airlines will operate a direct line between the Egyptian capital and the Chinese city of Chengdu starting from Tuesday, Oct. 23, informed sources at Cairo International Airport told Egypt Today.
The Chinese airlines will operate two flights a week from Cairo to Chengdu on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Sitchuan Airlines had announced that it will launch the third direct line between China and Cairo in Chengdu, the capital of the southern province Sitchuan, using Airbus A330.
Beijing and Guangzhou also operate direct flights to Cairo. In 2017, Chinese tourism to Egypt increased by 94 percent, becoming the fourth largest in Egypt.
