Braille police manual in Egypt for visually impaired people

CAIRO – The Ministry of Interior has issued a directory of police services in the Braille writing system for visually impaired people, said Assistant Minister of Interior for the Human Rights Sector Mohammed Yousuf on Thursday.

The manual will be distributed to all service providers to ensure it reaches a larger number of people in need for such service.

The Ministry has signed a cooperation protocol with the “National Council for Disability Affairs” to provide all aspects of support and care for persons with disabilities.

In April 2017, during the Ismailia youth conference, Sisi announced 2018 as the year for “disabled people”.
