CAIRO – 25 July 2018: The National Institute for Astronomical Research announced Wednesday that millions in Egypt and the Arab world will witness a long lunar eclipse next Friday.

The statement issued by the institute added that the eclipse is considered the longest in the 21 st century.

The statement also pointed out that the moon will pass through all stages of the eclipse from beginning to end.

The total eclipse of the moon will last one hour and 43 minutes, the statement continued.
