Cairo – 6 May 2017: A new law in France banning the use of overly skinny fashion models is now being implemented.
“The bill allows doctors to decide whether a model is too thin or not by taking into consideration their weight, age, and body shape,”reported the BBC.
Also photo-shopped photos will be labeled from Oct. 1. Images where a model's appearance has been altered will be marked “retouched photograph”.
France is not the first country to have implemented this law - Italy, Spain and Israel have preceded France in this regard.
