CAIRO: 22 April 2017: Egypt’s Sharm El Luli beach has ranked third on TripAdvisor’s list of 2017 Top 10 Beaches in the Middle East.
Sharm El Luli beach, located in Wadi El Gamal National Park at the Red Sea resort of Marsa Alam, is distinguished by crystal-clear water, white sand and absence of rocks.
Photos of the touristic destination on the website were visited by more than 1,590 viewers, who expressed their admiration for the place; “an excellent picture postcard location; excellent snorkeling with 2 reefs to swim; good range of fish,” Chris S from Ashford town in the county of Kent, England wrote on Friday.
In 2016, the beach ranked eighth on the same list on TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site.
“Marsa Alalam city is distinguished by spotless beaches and beautiful nature of white flat sand that overlooks beautiful series of mountains,” said Ashraf Abadi, head of a diving center at the city.
“The park and its beaches are favorable tourist destinations for Italians and Germans,” said Ahmed Ghalab, head of Red Sea Natural Reserves. He added that the Natural Reserves Administration seeks to announce Wadi El Gamal National Park a world heritage reserve, as it is enriched with biodiversity and includes a Roman-era temple.
TripAdvisor is accessed by around 390 million visitors in 49 markets worldwide every month, according to the website’s data.
