CAIRO – 14 April 2017: E3rafli app, released by Vodafone Egypt, is a hi-tech guide for the blind and visually impaired in Egypt, Digital Boom reported Thursday.

E3rafli is breaking new ground by being one of the first apps in the Middle East designed specifically to help the blind during their day-to-day actions, as reported by Digital Boom.

By counting their currency before paying, inspecting their surroundings, and of course recharging their Vodafone credit, E3rafli aims to help them overcome their daily difficulties.

Among various options, E3lafli can recognize Egyptian currency, basic colors, taxi fares, and count money or numbers. E3ralfi enables the blind and visually impaired to recognize an object and its color via voice accessibility to hear the object’s name or color on their connected headphones.

The app is not the first gadget designed for people with disabilities released by Vodafone. The telecom giant has also featured sign language call centers and a tariff plan for the deaf and hearing impaired.

E3rafli is available for free on IOS and Android.
