CAIRO – 8 November 2017: Egypt’s first lady Entesar al-Sisi was spotted at the opening ceremony of the World Youth Forum wearing everything from head to toe made by young Egyptian designers.

Her Okhetin bag has created buzz on social media in support of her wearing the items by young local designers, "expressing her sincere encouragement and belief in Egyptian youth and their capabilities in the fashion industry,” as WYF posted Monday.

The Okhetin designers Aya and Mounaz Abdelraouf later took part in a session on Tuesday entitled“Innovative Youth Experiences in Entrepreneurship” where they discussed the methods of scientifically empowering young people and encouraging them to establish their own businesses.

The Abdelraouf sisters launched their brand Okhetin in 2013 in Egypt. The pair design luxury accessories products such as clutches and bags. Okhetin means “sisters” in Arabic, as the pair are sisters.

Born and raised in Caro, both girls’ love for fashion and style began at a young age. In order to support Egyptian craftsmanship, they felt the need to incorporate handmade embroidery, straw and leather into their designs.
