Albrecht Dürer's famous Monogramm – Albrecht Dürer (1471- 1528) - Wikimedia commons
Here’s a list of monograms and patterns that you probably will not need us to name for you:
Adidas: The three stripes
Adidas’s logo has always been associated with three stripes, since the German company’s founding in 1949 and until it established itself as one of the largest sportswear manufacturers in the world. Whenever you see the stripes on the world’s most famous athletes, singers or celebrities, you just always know… this is Adidas.
Chanel: The two “C"s
Though common sense would suggest the double C monogram which distinguishes every Chanel product stands for the initials of the legendary creator “Coco Chanel”, some suspect it actually stands for Coco and Capel, her lover.
Gucci: The stripe
The distinctive red and green stripe has become an instant mark of luxurious taste in fashion. Often mentioned in modern day hip-hop music as a sign of fine taste and wealth, Gucci is usually associated with two golden G letters and a red and green stripe.
Burberry: House Check tartan pattern
This is the type of pattern that you will probably end up seeing every week because of how famous it is and how much it has been used. The “House Check” tartan pattern reportedly became famous when England’s working class youth fell in love with it and started wearing the scarves, trench coats, and button down shirts which were covered in it, according to Complex’s website.
Louis Vuitton: The monogram pattern
A monogram of the initial letters LV surrounded by floral and quatrefoils pattern which usually not only cover the insides of Louis Vuitton high-end products, but also the outsides. A distinguished mark which has been copied by many fake brands, yet one that can never truly be reproduced by any other than the one and only LV.
