CAIRO – 26 October 2017: The Okhtein sisters will guide you in an intimate two-day workshop at Zamalek’s Sane Egypt on how to build your very own empire.
On October 20,
, the international singer and mother to everything fabulous, posted on her Instagram not one—but three posts— that have now garnered over one million likes, where she is seen wearing the
new classic dome belt and orange shoulder bag from the 2017 spring/summer collection.
The pair behind the Okhtein brand, Mounaz and Aya Abdel Raouf, will share the ins and outs of how they built their brand Okhtein and guide attendees in branding, marketing, researching and outsourcing all the elements that start-up brands need in order to become successful.
Egyptian designers Aya and Mounaz Abdelraouf launched their brand Okhtein in 2013 in Egypt. The pair design luxury accessories products such as clutches and bags. Okhtein means “sisters” in Arabic, as the pair are sisters.
Born and raised in Caro, both girls’ love for fashion and style began at a young age. Mounaz is an already-acclaimed painter who has showcased her artworks in Egyptian and French exhibitions.
In order to support Egyptian craftsmanship, they felt the need to incorporate handmade embroidery, straw and leather into their designs.
The workshop will be held over a two-day period, covering the importance of research, building a workshop while outsourcing persons and materials, going over their design process, marketing and PR techniques, as well as other important aspects of brand-building.
The workshop will be held at Sane Egypt starting November 11. To find out more, visit
