CAIRO – 23 October 2017: Bridezilla: noun/informal; a woman whose behavior in planning the details of her wedding is regarded as obsessive or intolerably demanding.

Here are six tips on how to avoid the bridezilla syndrome and get back to your own normal self for your big day, so that all your memories of the big day are good ones.

1. Find some time for yourself to get away from all of the busyness and people running around. Remind yourself that this is supposed to be the happiest day of your life so let it be and don’t stress yourself out.

2. When something goes wrong try and look at the bright side. If something falls and breaks try and laugh it off.

3. Remember that your wedding day will be over way too soon. Just breathe and take it all in and remember that everything was chosen by you; the flowers, the decorations, the cake, the food, the dress and most importantly your partner.

4. Stay organized and keep your to-do-list close by so that you don’t get stressed out over things that may have already been taken care of.

5. There is no shame in asking for help, that is why you have bridesmaids.

6. A surprise family member that you never knew existed shows up and there aren’t enough seats don’t worry, because others that were invited may not show up so there will be seats available.

As long as you stick to these tips, your special day will go smoothly and you will be left with great memories that will last you a lifetime.
