Okhtein goes international with Beyoncé

Cairo – 22 October 2017: Two events took place this month that had all of us, Egyptians, jumping up and down and waving our flags. One was when the Egyptian football team qualified to the 2018 World Cup and the second was on Friday night.

Egyptian designers Aya and Mounaz Abdel Raouf launched their brand Okhtein in 2013. They design luxury accessories such as clutches and bags. Okhtein means sisters in Arabic.

The 2017 summer collection is inspired by the immortal fantasy of a summer fling, where a girl loves a boy. The boy turns out to be a jerk, and the girl ends up with a broken heart. This collection is for young women who thought they would find their perfect man on the beach; however, they wake up from the dream to find themselves alone and broken.
