CAIRO - 12 October 2017: Cyber-security firm McAfee revealed that Avril Lavigne is the most dangerous celebrity to look for online.
After conducting its annual survey over celebrity searches associated with viruses and spyware, punk rock princess Lavigne topped the list.
McAfee explained in their statement that cybercriminals use celebrity names to lure people to click on the websites.Upon clicking on the link, malicious malware and viruses are installed to steal personal information and passwords.
The survey revealed that runner up to Lavigne is funk pop singer Bruno Mars. Third in line was Carly Rae Jepsen, followed by Zayn Malik, Celine Dion, Calvin Harris, Justin Bieber, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Katy Perry and Beyoncé.
