In Pics: Take tour in October war mastermind, late President Sadat home

CAIRO – 6 October 2017: On the celebration of the 44th anniversary of the 6th October War victory, Egypt Today takes a tour of the birth place of the late President Muhammad Anwar el-Sadat in the village of Mit Abu El Kom in Monufia Governorate.

At the beginning of the tour, we found a simple wooden door that has withstood the time in solidity.

Once you pass through the wooden door into the home, you will find the old basin where the late leader Anwar Sadat performed the ritual ablution before praying behind the door.

Sadat spent all his childhood in this home until he joined the Revolutionary Command Council; his father in law helped him to buy another home which later became Sadat Museum.
