Cairo Marriott Hotel Promotes Tourism

The Cairo Marriott Hotel & Omar Khayyam Casino and the Egyptian Tourist Authority hosted 40 representatives of media institutions from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland as part of an initiative to promote tourism and reestablish Egypt as a safe country for traveling. At a press conference held at the Eugenie Salon, Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou painted the current picture of tourism in the country and explained the current obstacles facing Egypt. Zaazou put an emphasis on promoting classical tours of Cairo and Upper Egypt. The Egyptian Tourism Authority also gave a presentation showcasing the tourist sites Egypt has to offer.
