Photos: German delegation visits tourist sites of Assuit

ASSIUT, Upper Egypt - 2 October 2017: A German delegation on Monday visited tourist sites and monuments across Assiut governorate on the fringe of their participation in operating fish farming unit "Aquaponics" donated by Germany to the zoology department of al Azhar university, Assiut branch.

In a statement, director of the regional authority for tourism promotion Osman al Husseini said that the tour was organized by the Tourism Promotion Authority for the German delegation to get acquainted with the governorate's archaeological sites including Islamic and Christian attractions.

Al Husseini pointed out that Assiut Governor Yasser el Desouky pays special attention to the tourism sector and works on providing all means of support to increase domestic and external tourism inflow to the city that is rife with archaeological attractions.

The delegation expressed happiness for visiting the governorate and its tourist sites, he added.
