CAIRO – 30 September 2017:As you may have heard, Dahab's signature German bakery is supposed to open its doors to the public in Cairo tomorrow for breakfast.
But unfortunately that won't be the case. We here at Egypt Today got the official inside scoop from one Ralph’s Maadi-based bakery staff. We were told that there will be a delay in the soft opening, but the delays are due to the preparation of the restaurant itself.
It’s unclear when the restaurant/bakery will open, but we hope that it will be sooner rather than later, as we can't handle taking the 11-hour bus ride to Dahab anymore to indulge in the those perfectly baked German pastries.
A little information so you can get to know Ralph a little better.
Ralph was the first to introduce true authentic Bavarian baking to the Red's golden treasure that is Dahab and then Sharm El Sheikh.
It's the go-to spot for Dahab residents and vacationers, where they go and grab a hearty breakfast before a long day at the beach.
With a menu that is full to the brim with an array of healthy and not so healthy options, you can always opt for the vitamin multi-grain-filled breakfast, the German smoked meat fest, or the Schwartzwalder art, which is a crusty rye baguette with black forest beef butter, lettus and brie, and of course there are also the traditional Frankfurter sausages.
They also have a wide array of freshly baked cakes, sweets, pastries and breads that include your everyday baguette, dark German whole-grain, pumpkin seed and rye bread.
These are just some of the things that we hope to see at the Maadi branch when it finally opens.
