CAIRO - 30 September 2017: “A champion is someone who gets up even when it’s difficult,” said Ramy Ashour.

Ashour is an Egyptian squash player born on September 30, 1987. He was encouraged by his father to play squash at young age.

At the age of 16 Ashour won the Men’s 2004 World Junior Squash Championship, becoming the youngest person ever to win that title. In 2006 he won the Junior World Championship again, setting another record as the only person to ever win it twice.

He became the world's Number 1 in squash at the age of 22. Now he is ranked 14th worldwide.
