Gwyneth Kate Paltrow was born in Los Angeles on September 27, 1972. She is the daughter of producer and director Bruce Paltrow and Tony award-winning actress Blythe Danner.

Her career started in the 1995 hit movie” Seven,” yet she rose to worldwide recognition with “Shakespeare in Love” in 1998. Her performance was widely praised as it earned her the Best Actress Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award.

In 2005, she earned a Golden Globe nomination for “Proof.” She has also stared on the silver screen and won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series in 2011 for the Fox television series “Glee.” Paltrow is now known for her portrayal of Tony Stark’s love interest Pepper Potts in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In an interesting gesture, Paltrow wore the 200-pound latex "fat" suit that she used in the film “Shallow Hal” (2001), to a bar where people refused to make eye contact with her and treated her rudely. She said that this experience made her saddened by the injustice faced by overweight people in society.
