Poehler is American comedian who was born on September 16, 1971. She studied at Boston College media and communications and graduated with a bachelor degree in 1993.
She later moved to Chicago city, where she joined ‘Second City,’ a theater group, and the ‘Improvolympic Group’ as well, which led her to become friends with Ian Roberts and Matt Besser, with whom she performed ‘improv’.
In 1996 she moved to New York City and in 1998 she became a regular on the “Late Night with Conan O’ Brien.” She is manily known for her work on “Saturday Night Live” as she joined the cast in 2001 till 2008. She had a guest role in 2004 cult favorite“Mean Girls”.

● Her nicknames are; Cool Cat Amy, Crazy Amy and Poehlercoaster.
● She worked at an ice cream parlor called Chadwicks, when she was a teenager.
