Lagerfeld is behind the creative power of Chanel’s multi-million dollar business enterprise. He was born on September 10, 1933. He majored in history and drawing at a private school. He worked as an assistant for French designer Pierre Balmain in 1955 and afterwards assisted designer Jean Patou. In the same year, he designed haute couture collection for Patou.
He released his first collection in July 1958, which was not well received.
He began working for the French label Chanel in 1983, and the following year launched his own fashion label.
He is a talented fashion designer and a photographer. He has personally photographed American singer and actress, Mariah Carey for the cover of V magazine.

He is one of the most known fashion designers in the world. He shocked the world when he lost 42 kilograms within 13 months.
