Cairo - 9 September 2017: British Ambassador to Egypt John Casson said Saturday that he loves “Shakshuka”, an Egyptian meal made of eggs, tomatoes and minced meat. He added that he is in love with all Egyptian food, except salted fish.
“I tried salted fish, but I prefer Shakshuka,” Casson told various media outlets during a conference at the American University in Cairo. “I love listening to Egyptian singers Amr Diab and Mohamed Mounir,” he added.
Casson came to Egypt in 2014 as the new British ambassador and gained his fame in the country because of the way he engages with Egyptians on social media. He always shows support for the Egyptian national team. Casson also comments on his official Facebook page about different events in Egypt.
