Want to see Sri Lanka, help a local community, and challenge yourself and fellow travelers? Join Egyptian adventurer Omar Samra with his travel company Wild Guanabana and travel to Sri Lanka for the eight-day Great Tuk-Tuk Rally. Participants will travel the country from west to east while racing tuk-tuks. In addition to an adventurous race, travelers will also experience a safari, hike and Sri Lankan “pillow fights.” Profits from the journey will be used to renovate a local school, and participants also spend one afternoon on the rally working on a community project.
The Great Tuk-tuk Rally runs October 3–10 and costs $1,899; price includes accommodation, meals on half-board basis, tuk-tuk rental, guides and support teams, entrance fees and local taxes. The price does not include flights, refundable deposit on the tuk-tuk rental, costs related to international driving licenses, and any activities outside of the itinerary.
Register before August 15 to catch an early bird special of a $50 discount; teams of three people can also get a $100 discount if they are sharing a tuk-tuk and a room. For discount codes, itinerary details and more information, visit the Wild Guanabana website:
