Egyptian Stars before and after extreme makeovers

CAIRO – 29 August 2017: One truth about life is that people change, sometimes it is gradual and slow and other times quick and extreme. There is no debate over the talent and experience of these Egyptian stars, but there is a lot of debate over their extremely amazing makeovers!

Ahmed Zaher: the super talented actor came a long way and split the screen with some of the biggest stars in Egypt such as Mahmoud Yassin, Adel Imam, and Yehia El-Fakharany. There was never any debating over his talent but then he disappeared for a little while and suddenly came back to his audience with a bang! In ‘Hikayat Hayat’ in 2013 not only did Zaher lose a lot of weight and changed his look but he also started choosing more controversial roles that challenged him as an actor to bring his best to the screen.

Tarek Lotfy: from the innocent boy next door in ‘Saidy fe al Gamea al Amerikya’ to the dangerous devious cop in ‘Shehadet Melad,’ Lotfy came a long way but never lost his talent or smart choices when it comes to roles and looks.



Amir Karara: he started his career as a TV presenter in shows like ‘Star Maker’ and small roles in movies and TV shows but he came all the way to become one of the biggest stars in the Ramadan series season with shows like ‘El Mowaten X,’ ‘Taraf Talet,’ and his recent hit ‘Kalabsh.’



Menna Shalabi: she started off her career by appearing in huge productions such as ‘Hadith al Sabah Wa al Masaa,’ and with huge stars such as Mahmoud Abdel Aziz in ‘Al Saher,’ Yousra in ‘Al Asseefa’ and Kamal el-Shennawi in ‘Le Dawa’y Amnia.’ Now after years of experience from participating in many great works, she still captures our attention and move us with her honest, natural performances.


Ahmed Helmy: he is one of the most creative and hard working actors in the Middle East who never seems to stop surprising us; from his beginnings and his role in ‘El Nazer’ as our beloved Atef and until now with every movie he makes.
