Mother Teresa was born on August 26, 1910, and she passed away on September 5, 1997. She was raised in a religious Catholic family. Her father was an entrepreneur, but her mother was more spiritual, religious inclined and was an active participant in the local church activities. She won many awards such as the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 1962.
Fun Fact:
- Although she was close to her mother, she never saw her again after she left for Ireland.
- She refused the traditional Nobel Prize and requested a $192,000 budget allotment to help the poor in India.
