CAIRO – 26 August 2017: A crew from Channel One of French TV finished filming in Luxor to prepare several episodes about Nile cruises in Egypt, Undersecretary of the State Information Service Ahmed Nubi said Friday.

Luxor is getting ready to receive a wave of tourists in the winter season, with direct flights expected to arrive from several countries around the world, including France, in October.

Thousands of tourists visit Luxor to witness the Oct. 21 solar alignment at Abu Simbel Temple and enjoy Nile cruises. In an Aug. 15 report, the Telegraph listed Egypt among the top 20 best destinations for river holidays.

Not only do Nile cruises in Egypt allow beautiful scenery of the river and countryside, but they also cross open-air museums, such as ancient Egyptian temples and pyramids. Some Nile Cruises travel from Luxor to Aswan or from Aswan to Luxor to Qena, and others go all the way from Cairo to Aswan.
